I told my girlfriend I'd take her to some place nice for the week and I was a little disheartened when she chose a chain restaurant. I had never been to a Ruth Chris before and I wasn't disappointed at all. Service was simultaneously professional and personable and the drinks were very, very strong. At the advice of her mother, we split their gigantic "cowboy steak" and ordered two sides. I've eaten better steaks for cheaper but there was no way I could have been disappointed, everything was delicious. Their whole "serve the steak on a 500 degree plate" thing just seems like a gimmick though. Good steaks need some time to rest, not cook further at the table. It's not too much of a problem since the cut was so thick. We finished with the creme brulee which was incredibly delicious but my girl was so drunk from the cocktails before hand she would have settled for a 2 for $1 McDonalds apple pie at that point.

Went to Ruth's Chris Steak House to celebrate a friend's birthday. From the moment we walked in, the service was great! The waiters were very friendly and attentive and professional. We made reservations that day. Started off with some wine and my husband got a coke with Jamaican Rum which he said was very good and strong! I ordered the Rib eye and it was very good! Very tender! We ordered some sides as well and they were really good. The sides are family style and I recommend if you are going with a group, order a few sides but not many since its enough for 2-3 people. We were not in a rush and enjoyed our meal very much. Can't wait to go back!

What can I say, having been to many steak houses , I know sometimes they do it right and sometimes they don't. But at this Ruth's Chris in West palm, they do it perfect! The service was impeccable, Jennifer took care of us , all I can say she might as well served the Vanderbilts! The appetizers were perfect and the wine selection I mean awesome. Some were high but it's Ruth Chris not Outback. I did see some people in sports clothing but we dressed it up. If more people dress up people will notice. Back to the food , the steak was awesome the sides really good and the desserts wow! It was my mother in laws birthday and even I felt good to see her enjoy her Main lobster!! And she shared too. All kidding aside it was a very good experience. My wife's filet looked just like the one in the pictures!! Kudos to the staff and management for a great experience .

This was an exceptional experience to have ate, drink wine and dine at Ruth's Chris Steak House. The service was perfect. Yes, I stated perfect. The waitress was cordial and helpful. I was not into wine but help selection help me committed to sipping on few glass of wine. The chicken salad was crazy good and the meal was as well.

I love a good steak and Ruth's Chris usually has great ones, but compared to Morton's steakhouse, just half a mile or so east, I would opt for Morton's 9 times out of 10. This particular night (months ago) a friend of mine and I headed here for the Ruth's Chris happy hour. The sliders were worse than mediocre - the meat smelled "off". The wine selection was fine. The service was not great. I wrote the manager a letter (which I rarely do) and she gave me a $30 gift card. The ambiance is nice, and the manager did apologize for the lousy experience, so for those reasons I give it 3 stars rather than 1 or 2.

Somehow, I end up with different experiences at different Ruth's Chris locations. So while I've only been to the West Palm Ruth's Chris once, I need to give it some props for delivering an first-rate experience. The service at this location really stood out to me. Our server was attentive (almost to the point of being too attentive) and patiently went through the menu with us. He also took some pride in giving us the play-by-play on how the steak would be cooked, and his recommendation (the bone-in ribeye) was spot-on. My mouth waters just thinking about the butter-and-spice-encrusted steak. I will say that the space is a touch impersonal -- the ceilings are a bit high, and it feels a bit like a conference dining area. But while the layout's a bit odd, they manage to make the best of their space with their decor.

Our experience started with a suggestion to sit in the bar area, even though we were all dressed well and were of financial capability. The service was average, no in depth appreciation for the food, the chef, or the establishment. The food was on par with Texas Roadhouse or Outback Steakhouse. Our order was delivered with multiple mistakes and the steaks were below average. Do not waste time or money here.

Had dinner there before seeing LaTraviata at the Kravis. I ordered off the "classics" prix fixe section, winter soup to start, stuffed chicken breast, green beans, then a awesome chocolate peanut butter cake for dessert, and a nice glass of wine suggested by our server, Emanuel. All was exceptional. Great service, was easy to make reservation online, and even got a confirmation call earlier that afternoon. I recommend this place especially if you are seeing a performance over at the Kravis. We used their valet service as well, which was very convenient as well. Overall a great experience.

This location of Ruth's Chris doesn't hold a candle to most others and certainly doesn't have the nerve to call itself in the same class as Capital Grille in Palm Beach Gardens or Chops and Abe & Louie's in Boca Raton.

Food was good. Wine was good. Cocktails were average. Wife and I were given a table. The couple next to us had on tshirts and jogging shoes. Don't mean to be weird but won't be back. Maybe they could use some standards. Yes, it's palm beach. Act like it.

I love this place. They have the best happy hour w/$7 meals at the bar. They have a lobster roll w/fries that's just the right size for a bite before a show. The burgers are delish and huge. I've eaten here before and it's one of the best steak houses around.

We have been to this Ruth's Chris 5 times. It is the best of the three Ruth's Chris Steakhouses we have visited. The food is always top-notch. One of our party had the petite filet mignon, which was plenty large enough. It was cooked just right and had an excellent "beefy" flavor. We also had a 3+ pound lobster that was excellent. We also enjoyed a starter called Crabitini. Try it; you'll be glad you did. All else was good. Oh, we tried the special Manhatten, and had to have a second. This meal was just wonderful. Only issue to be aware of is that the final bill can be expensive; very expensive. If you are prepared for that, go and enjoy.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Ala cart ordering isn't my favorite but it's worth it here. The food is Definitely priced accordingly. Steaks are perfect :)

Always enjoy a good steak. But, have a couple of complaints about Ruth's C. The little hot plates here never let the steak rest. All the juice keeps erupting out of the beef. Half way through my steak it is now over cooked and drying out. And while sharing a couple of sides there is nowhere to put them! Kind of and awkward dining experience. Tasty meal. Just a weird way to dine. It is not a Fajita, I don't want my beautiful steak sizzling away and overcooking before my eyes.

Ruth's Chris is so good, it doesn't need reviews! It's my anniversary restaurant and I look forward to it every year.

The wife made reservations to celebrate our Anniversary...so we get there and everyone is friendly, energetic and it's just the perfect start to the evening. Our serving staff (Laura and Austin ) were spot on. The table was ready with a very nice "happy anniversary " card and decorated nicely. The steaks were as delicious as we remember, the only thing with mentioning is the spinach side is way too much for even 4 people. So as we hate seeing food go to waste, that was the only thing that was disappointing. This was our first time and the setup is so much more than what it appears from outside. We sat upstairs and the ambiance was as great as the service and the food. The dessert was a happy anniversary platter of cheesecake, sorbet and and fresh fruit which took the meal to the next level. The richness of the food and price tag don't allow this to be a weekly place, but for our special occasions and when we want to indulge this is the place. We have dined at Ruth chris in NJ, puerto Rico, boca, and Hawaii (Maui)... Please feel free to use this review as high praise for those locations as well. . .

I went to Ruth Chris for dinner on Thursday evening to enjoy a great dining experience to end my vacation and I must say Ruth Chris did not disappoint. Every aspect of the dinner was top notch. The service, our waiter was Grayson, was outstanding. He possesses a great knowledge of the Ruth Chris menu and can easily help you decide on a meal if need be. The food was outstanding and prepared perfectly. The drinks were spot on, I recommend the Dirty Goose Martini's with bleu cheese olives. I must also say they were very accommodating as well. My cab failed to show up and as a result I missed my 8pm reservation. When I called to let them know, I was told not to worry my reservation would be honored for when I did arrive. I finally arrived about 930 after calling a second cab company. Overall this experience topped off my vacation. I strongly recommend anyone in the West Palm area to visit Ruth Chris Steakhouse.

Fabulous dining experience! My husband and I love dining at fine steakhouses. M husband has been to RC in Tampa and didn't remember everything being this good. We had the crabtini for an appetizer which was delicious. You have the option of ordering your meal a la carte or as a 3 course meal which we preferred the latter. My husband had a crab soup to start which was so good I'm going to see if I can find a similar recipe on-line. My tomato salad had a very generous portion of goat cheese. My husband got the filet which was cooked perfectly and my barbeque shrimp were amazing! The meal ended with a small caramel creme brulee-like dessert which I could have had a dozen more. Service was top notch from start to finish!

I was nervous about eating in a steakhouse chain restaurant but our hosts insisted so in I went. I was not disappointed in my fear of disappointment! This particular Ruth's is in a big outdoor mall area ("Cityplace") and the crowd seemed especially "mall-like" this night with baseball caps and T-shirts aplenty. We had a private room so that helped a bit with the atmosphere situation. I was impressed by the wine selection and ordered some really fine california cabs, the sommilier took my order and disappeared, literally. He was gone about 20 minutes so I got up, found our waiter outside chatting with the bartender and inquired when we might expect our wine since the appetizers were being served. Strike one. After the wine arrived and was opened, the waiter tried to pour it into the glass I used for the wine I ordred at the bar, it still had some red wine in it. Strike two. I was able to stop him in time and explained they were different wines and you didn't do that sort of thing to expensive wine. After we all ordered our entrees and were digging into appetizers and salads, the waiter returns to inform me they are out of Maine lobster which is what I ordered. Really? You didn't know that when I ordered 20 minutes ago? The chef didn't tell you that they were out? Strike three. Finally, as the entree course was delivered, the waiters literally stood around the table and "auctioned" off the plates: who ordered the porterhouse, the crab cakes? The sirloin? I've never seen such a thing at a good restaurant, at a diner maybe. No system for figuring out who ordered what? You're out batter. I gave 2 stars because the crab cakes I ordered where actually very good with lots of crab and very little bread. I should get them "to go" next time.

While visiting the area there was a choice of 2 steakhouses. Very happy we chose Ruth's Chris (though I really don't get the name..). The restaurant was beautiful, very comfortable feel. Crabtini appetizer was insane, I could've had this as a meal, but when you go to a steakhouse you kind of have to order the steak. Ordered the petite filet, medium, it was absolutely perfect! So tender! As incredible as the food was, what really made our dinner was our server, Norm, what a classy, friendly guy! He was just so good, you can tell he loves people and what he does! There are so many dining options in this area, try Ruth's Chris, you won't be disappointed!

This was our first time at this location, the food was good not great. The service was very poor and almost like we are bothering our server. The orders came out wrong and the server reluctantly offered to have it redone, in my opinion the order should of never left the kitchen. We had to refill our own wine and waited quite awhile to get our check.

Hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. Their cuts are top notch & prepared perfectly. Even the sides were expertly crafted. The last bite is as enjoyable as the first. Service is exceptional. The location, decor & ambiance all add to the memorable experience. Is it expensive? Yes, but sometimes you have to 'treat yoself'. If you had the money to go here frequently, then I'm sure your private chef could create something as good w/o having to leave the compound. If you're in the City Place area, this is where you go for dinner to make it the perfect night out.

Never disappoints!!! I absolutely love Ruth's Chris wherever I go! Food is always superb! Steak is AAA! Made friends with one of the girls there and we were there for a long time talking about the culture we both share! Always feel like home when I'm at Ruth's Chris! They always ensure their customers are satisfied. Our waiter was great, took great care of us. The managed even stopped by to make sure everything was good! Love love love Ruth's Chris whether it's Hawaii, Miami, Palm Beach, NJ etc

I'm still thinking about the stellar experience I had st Ruth's last week. The ribeye was perfectly prepared and the creme brulee wss the best I've ever had. Also, the serving size was generous so its easier to share this delight. Above all else was the comfortable atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff....not stuffy. I am looking forward to returning very soon. Well done!

I walked here from my apartment with a craving for a Steamed Lobster. The bartender told me they had one left and put in the order. A moment later the GM Pam came over and apologized, saying that the last lobster they had died. She was very nice and bought me a side of scallops. The food and service was great and I would definitely recommend coming here to treat yourself.

This review is specific to this location of Ruth's Chris. I have been to a few Ruth's Chris locations and this was by far the worst. The general operations here were so sloppy it was shocking to me. We had a 6:45pm reservation and were not seated until 7:05pm. My steak was overcooked and not nearly as good as other steaks I have had at a Ruth's Chris. I don't think the chef here knew what he was doing. We saw quite a few mistakes throughout the night. A table that got seated next to us asked to be moved because their table cloth was filthy and after they got up, I looked and saw what they meant. Also another table had a problem with their steak being overcooked. This was just a really sloppy Ruth's Chris and not the norm. Final blow was the valet is $8 at this location so I would not recommend it. The one in Boca was a lot better and had free valet.

My dad comes here for all the shows he sees at kravitz center and this time he said it was the only time he had good good and service. Filet was good and shoe string fries and sautéed spinach yummy. But the service made the meal with Mike Ingham He was very good and knowledgable and friendly . Ask for him.

I have been coming to Rurh's Chris Steak Houses for many years and way over 100 times during that time. Normally our experiences are excellent but this time it was disappointing. Extra tables were cramed in and the waitors keep bumping our chairs all during the meal. A little to greedy. Our meal was rushed--the entres deliverd before we finished our salads. After the entre we waited for our coffee and desert. As we left I told the hostess and she wanted to call over the manager but I did not want to wait. I told her she had my name and phone number so he could call me if he had something to say. So far no communication. Again we were disappointed because we have grown to expect an excellent experience.

The next time I want an overpriced steak in a tired looking restaurant with mediocre service I'll head to Okeechobee Steakhouse, where I'll get the tired looking restaurant, but a great steak, priced fairly, and great service. There was simply nothing about the meal, the room or the service that made me think "wow, this is really worth the money".

  • Stuart B.

Haven't been to one of these since 2001. Steak is still over the top good in that butter sauce! We each had a price fixe meal that was 3 courses for about $40 which was a great buy. We also tried a holiday raspberry champagne which was also good. Dessert (flowerless chocolate cake) was a bit too rich for my taste. Service was very professional and attentive.

My wife and I have been in Ruth's Chris from Ft. Lauderdale to New York City. This one is so consistent in great food and employees that it sits atop our ladder for fun and food. Linda, at the front door, Jimmy,Julianna,Robert,John, and Will ,at the bar, Marian our requested server, and Mary our wellcomer, all make our many visits "comeback" experiences!! Try it --- you will love it!!! Happy Bruce Topping and Marva

My wife and I had dinner on Tuesday night. We had a great experience. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had one of their specials where you get an appetizer, entree, and a desert for about $49. The entire meal was great.

There are no words to describe just how great this meal was. Norm the waiter was fantastic. Sweet potato casserole was out of this world. The rib eye is the best you'll ever experience. Great environment.

  • Robert S.

An old favorite for a traditional steakhouse. Marian is who we ask for... She makes you feel like your in her own home. If only all this red meat was healthy.. But they have other excellent items and all of them have been perfectly served. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Went here for my birthday and it was perfect. They even decorated the table with a birthday card and confetti. The food was beyond incredible, melt in your mouth filet. It felt like a really special evening overall. We sat upstairs and this location has a much better atmosphere than other Ruth's Chris' I've been too. Unfortunately, I overheard the table next to us complaining about being ignored, but it seemed like the manager was apologetic to them once he was notified.

I usually come here for happy hour because the steak sandwich is so good!! The hamburger is my second favorite. I would recommend happy hour for sure and then drink your way around city place and clematis street afterwards. I am sure dinner is great and the service is really good. Bartenders can strike up some conversation as well!!!

  • Rachel M.

Let me start with Jennifer: AMAZING service. There when you need her and not "bothering" you when you don't! Request to sit in her area. Made my birthday celebration so personal but not embarrassing. Food: good to great but not amazing. My steak was prepared as expected and tender. Nothing over the top. The Bee's Knees cocktail is amazing! Lobster bisque was a bit watery but decent chunks of lobster. Good place but not as swanky as other steakhouses. I'd go back again.

We go to FL once a year, so we've gone here last two times. You can't go wrong at most any Ruth Chris, but this is one of the better ones.

  • Julie S.

We've been to this Ruth Chris twice and it's been excellent both times. Service wonderful, food superb, environment relaxing and ambient. We recently celebrated a birthday here, and they went way above and beyond, we didn't even expect it! They had decorated the table with confetti, had a card waiting for the birthday girl plus a desert after the meal!! We'll definitely be coming back for special occasions!

My first experience was in Va. Beach and this was my second experience. Not better. The food was good but not great. The service was decent. I had the lamb chops and sweet potato casserole. The chops were cooked too tough for my liking. I felt like I was chewing forever and it was still hard to swallow/digest. Overall, an ok location.

It's Ruth's Chris, you know the steak is going be good and it always is. However, I just discovered their happy hour a few months ago--unbelievable! $7 manhattans (and other cocktails) and $7 bites. But the bites are more like meals. Steak sandwich is my favorite. Also have had the burger, spicy lobster, steak salad, and ahi Tuna. All awesome. Bar staff is good too.

Speak about a perfect steak! Any chance we get we go to Ruth's Chris. We always order the Porterhouse for 2 and let me tell you it's more than enough. I love the way it's cooked, I love the way it tastes. I might not be able to finish this review and I want to go back NOW! This trip we decided to try their calamari. I love calamari and let me tell you this calamari is unique. I eat calamari everywhere I go and it's usually plain with lemon. At Ruth's Chris they sell this Asian inspired calamari, if you haven't ordered please do yourself a favor and try it, you WON'T regret it. Back to the steak, we always get just a side order of their mash potatoes to keep it simple, the steak is all you need as it takes over everything. We will keep coming back over and over and over again, this place never gets old. The waiters and front reception are always so welcoming.

I been here before and had nothing but the best experiences. This time I came for New Years with the family before ringing the new year in. Of course even though I had a 830PM reservation we waited an hour. But this is expected on New Years. The restaurant is simply packed and they want to accomidate everyone even walk ins. I was patient and they were very attentive. Even gave us a free appetizer , any one we wanted, so of course we went with the shrimp cocktail I mean it's huge and fresh hummm the bread of course awesome . Andthe appetizers we had them all. The stuff mushrooms are to die for! The wedge salad and the soups are perfect. They even have a set dinner menu that even though steaks are a little smaller they are pretty big. Some even include appetizers and desserts. I had a Ribeye, was perfectly cooked. But I have to say the Filet Mignon which I ended up eating most of my wife's, was the best ever. I know meats so it depends on the quality and cuts available. Well we all got lucky because everyone on that top gorgeous floor of this stadium seating style restaurant was raving about the filets. Now all the other steaks and the lobster were awesome and delicious . The creme spinach is very good , well prepared too. And the mushrooms in sauce wow. Great onion rings too. The salads wow the Ruth is very good. The desserts , the flower less chocolate cake and the set menu chocolate desserts were good . The pudding OMG! What a place and they even sat me on New Years Night on the top floor I requested. Oh yes this ain't no ordinary Ruth Chris , it's built like a stadium with open levels and perfectly decorated. With a booming atmosphere and the packed restaurant with running waiters and champagne being served and wine, what can I say we had a blast on New Years Eve. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful night!

Pains me to do this especially because Ruth's Chris was a staple for me and friends in Pittsburgh for many years. I understand prices raise and costs of Doing business follows suit. Here your paying $45 for an 11oz filet. Not the highest but sure as shit not the lowest. I opted to go with the meal package or what ever the hell they call it that gets you a Caesar or select salad, the filet and a side and a dessert. Caesar was whatever; fine. Filet came out and immediately I noticed this cut was some bullshit in between and not a barrel cut. Granted I know ruths has always been top choice not prime when it comes to filets.but this is bullshit. $45 you trim the bitch and serve a barrel cut. Nothing worse then paying that type of money and you have pieces you can't eat because it's fat layer(not marble). My dinner mate didn't choose the meal plan package and went ala carte. Full 11oz filet and potatoes al gratin. Filet was the same shitty cut but over cooked. The potatoes not cooked. To a rookie steakhouse fan this may be acceptable but not me. You got two stars only because my love of my OG ruths in Pittsburgh. If your in Florida choose capital grille if your going corporate and find a nice independent steak house to fulfill the inner carnivore. Last kick in the head. $8 for valet. No validation or break.

    (2)
  • Danny S.

Not one of my favorite steakhouse, but attended a business dinner there last night. Valet parking is pricey at $8 with no option for validation. Overall experience was good. Ambience: quite a big place wit a good size bar area. Great for any type of get together. Didnt see a lot of kids though. Quite happening around the the 6-7pm. May be due to the happy hour specials. Service: overall was decent. There was one front receptionist that didnt know our group existed and almost turned away our guest. Was told she was "new". I got there almost 45min early and was graciously shown to our area and service began. No one helped me with the AV in the room but i figured it out. Food service was decent overall. There was a long lag between salad and main entree. Not sure if it was intentional, but just didnt flow too well. Otherwise, overall, decent service for our party of 14. Food: there were stuff mushrooms and sear tuna for appetizers. Mushrooms were ok, but the tuna was pretty darn good. A little spicy flavor and cooked perfectly. Only choices for our group dinner was filet, stuffed chicken, and salmon. I opted for the filet (med rare plus) and it was cooked decently. Would have much rather preferred rib eye though...flavors were ok. People asked for steak sauce, if that says anything...the sides were pretty plain with mushrooms, cream spinach, and mas potatoes. The cream of spinach was not the best and on the bland side. Potatoes were basic. Dessert was a small cheesecake that i passed on. Overall a decent experience. I can blame Ruth's for not offering a rib eye...i still prefer Fleming's over Ruth's.

I've eaten here before and was disappointed that this experience was not as pleasant as previous visits. I was there for our office xmas party and we had a private room for this visit. My filet mignon was ordered medium rare and was overlooked. That is a big no-no as it was too dry. My $40 filet was a bust. The a la carte sides were all tasty, in particular the sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. The service is my biggest complaint because a party of 12 should command good service but we were left alone for quit a bit. It's not worth the money in my opinion.

  • Raf N.

Forgettable disappointing meal (but it was on my company's dime so it's all good). Steak was small/paper thin and was overcooked. They need to account for the fact that the steak will continue to cook on the sizzling hot plate.

  • Melissa M.

Good service and french onion soup but so overpriced. I know people love this steakhouse but I've had better at local mom and pop places and places like Texas Roadhouse and even Outback. Yes, yes, I have. Just thought the chef used way too much butter on everything, like he was overcompensating for serving not very good, overpriced food. The group I was with liked it so that is all that mattered since it was a bachelorette party. I am glad everyone had fun. I could barely eat my petite filet since it was cooked wrong and I had to send it back and it came out still wrong. Medium Well is a slight pink center, not red, and the steak I got was still mooing. I had to throw it away which is horrifying to me and a sin but we were going out after and I had no place to stow it...so it ended up going in the trash. I still feel bad about that but I feel worse about the prices and quality here. Sorry, I wanted to LOVE this place.

I have been to the location in Manhattan several times and always had a five star experience. The location in west palm was *almost* as good. The establishment itself is more modern and nicer overall. The service has always been outstanding at any location. The petite filet here was still good but not as well seasoned and portioned as the location in NY. The sweet potato casserole and calamari are excellent. Perhaps I came on an off night, I would absolutely return.

    (4)
  • Danny S.

This is a five star filet. Great service and food. More pricey then most other steak houses in the area. They clearly get the top quality red meat. I would note however to stay away from Ruth Chris during really busy nights such as holidays as the quality drops off. Also, if you don't like your steak in butter then maybe ask for light butter or no butter...

Always reliably great food and amazing steaks. This is a particularly good location for a hip atmosphere, and being right across the street from the Kravis Center, a great performing arts venue, and two doors down from the A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, one of the best performing arts high schools in the country, as well as a couple of short blocks to B.B. King's, the Improv, and a 24 plex Muvico with an iMax. Entertainment and great steak. It doesn't get much better.
